00 SalaryJob ShiftDayJob CategoryEngineeringDescriptionMECHANICAL ENGINEER (Grants Pass) Playcraft Systems is a leading playground manufacturer located in Grants Pass, Oregon.
This position is responsible for generating the design, development, reviews and testing of products, components and/or assemblies.
Creating 3D models and drawings to ASME/ANSI standards with adherence to ASTM F1487-21 requirements.
This position supports the Company Mission and Values.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Generate project designs and reviews with peers, manufacturing, and leadership.
Create 3D models, assembly drawings and bill of materials (BOM's) specific to each project, including dimensioning, fastening methods, fabrication, and annotation details.
Create structural and dynamic designs and details for safe, creative playground assemblies.
Research and modify existing drawings, create new drawings as required.
Interface with in-house manufacturing, fabricators, assemblers, and supervisors.
Must be able to work both independently and as part of the team to complete complex projects in a timely manner and within budget constraints.
Comply with all Quality and Safety regulations.
Other duties may be assigned by leadership as needed.

QualificationsCompetencies Analytical Decision-Making Communication Learning & Development Planning & Organizing Professionalism & Integrity Risk-Taking/Creative Thinking Teamwork & Relationship-Building Results Orientation Education and/or Experience BSME and 2 years' experience preferred in a manufacturing environment.
Clear, concise, and effective communication skills.
Strong proven technical skills with hands-on experience.
Proficient with SolidWorks Familiar with ASTM F1487-21, CPSC and CAN/CSA-Z614 standards or equivalent.
TravelTravel will be minimal.
Language SkillsMust have the ability to write routine reports and documentations, as well as be able to speak effectively with vendors, customers, and other employees of the organization.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
To be successful one must have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer SkillsTo perform this job successfully, the individual should be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite specifically Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint software.
