Crisis Respite Treatment Foster Parent

Family Solutions is seeking individuals or families who can live-in our crisis respite home:
Coach House. Youth stay at Coach House for a maximum of 5 days at a time which supports foster parents, proctor parents, ODHS, and Options, with a safe place for youth to relax when needed.


What the parents do:
We partner with parents to serve foster children ages 4 through 18 with emotional and behavioral issues. The parents at Coach House provide structure, supervision, consistency, skills training, and documentation for the youth while they are in their care.


The respite parents must pass a criminal background check and meet State of Oregon certification standards.

This position is not paid a salary or hourly wage, it is considered an independent contract position and receives the following for services:

  • Housing:
    Home and utilities paid, property fully maintained
  • Hands on training
  • 24 hour on-call support
  • 72 hours of respite per month
  • Full week vacation for the year
  • $600 per month for food and supplies
  • Walmart Card with $400 per month (this is in the $600)
  • Cash reimbursement of $200 per month (this is in the $600)
  • $2,300 per month reimbursement (not taxable income)

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
